This high quality UK 13A 3 pin plug has been designed to be used with audio equipment power cables for the best power transmission with no compromises. All the electrical parts (polished pins and all internal parts) are made from premium quality copper, the Fuse Clips are made of high spring rate Phosphor Bronze – and supplied fitted with a high quality 13A silver plated fuse.
The patented design allows for easy cable fitting (instructions provided) and the ease of cable fitting cannot be under estimated, some other brands are difficult to wire up with thicker cables.
The plug casing is manufactured from nylon material, offering durability, high insulation, light weight and good looks.
The heavy duty mains wire-clamps design ensure an air tight connection to ensure perfect power transmission and also protect the power cable wires from damage over time – inferior plugs secure the cables by the grub screws twisting down onto the cable directly and can be prone to material ‘creep’ over time, causing damage.

I have now bought and am using 4 of these excellent plugs. To start with I was unsure if the plug would offer any tangible improvements over the silver plated MCRU plugs I was using on some hybrid leads. Yet by experimenting, one by one these plugs have shown that they do indeed offer improvements over the cheaper silver MCRU plugs whether to sound or vision or both.
I now have these in use on hybrid leads on two TV’s (Panasonic plasma and Samsung), a Panasonic blu ray and a pair of Q Acoustics BT3 speakers. in each case a tangible improvement has been duly noticed. Together with either Copperline alpha or Ecosse Orange leads and upgraded fuses these have become my favourite and default plug of choice. Perfect.

Bought this as I like the clamping mechanism employed rather than screws as I was using thicker conductors than normal.
Although the job is more than satisfactory the design of the plug was not the best I’ve seen, very awkward to get stiffish, even when warmed, cable round to the pins as it has to be routed around the perimiter of the plug for live/neutral despite connections being in line across the base?
Only awarded four stars for that reason, Furutech are a better/easier design to work with and I should have stuck with them but, this is doing the job and if you dont mind fiddling I wouldn’t put you off it’s still a very capable performer…..and cheaper!!
